The existing<\/b> portal – Chameleon – closes November 15, 2013. <\/b><\/p>\n

Chamo is one of the modules of Virtua \u2013 the integrated library system \u2013 used in the Library since 1998. The manufacturer of the system, an American company VTLS Inc., is systematically developing its software in order to better take into account the needs of libraries and their users.<\/p>\n
New i-portal carries Library catalog in the environment of modern, interactive web portals and search engines, which facilitates its intuitive operation.<\/p>\n
It provides new features that allow you to:<\/p>\n
\u2022 create on-line your library account and order materials to Reading- and Lending Room;
\n\u2022 update the information contained in your profile, such as your e -mail address;<\/p>\n
\u2022 receive a message from a librarian directly into your Library Accoun;t
\n\u2022 narrow down your search results using dynamic (related to the search) facets;
\n\u2022 supply the selected books with a label characterizing their usefulness (tags)
\n\u2022 reviewing selected items, wherein the reviews can be managed by the staff and made available to the public or left to the view of the individual user;
\n\u2022 evaluate selected items using computer tools for ranking;
\n\u2022 merge the search results in the Library catalog with the search results in other online sources;
\n\u2022 save the search results to the cart, and then e-mail them or save to any external disc in any chosen format;
\n\u2022 create and save lists of retrieved publications and export them via e-mail or save to any disc in the desired format;
\n\u2022 track the history of previous searches;
\n\u2022 modify the used search criteria and keep them for future use;
\n\u2022 connect to other social web portals without breaking the connection with the catalog.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT CHANGE<\/b>!\u00a0\u00a0 Requesting the library materials to the Reading Rooms You must have a valid Library Card or register to the system!<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To register to the library system choose button Login and then a hyperlink Create a new Account. After completing the registration form you will receivean email with your login and password which lets you to access and order the materials in accordance with the regulations of individual Reading Rooms.<\/span>
